ProductAI Assistant (Ask Rosie)
Ask why, in your own words
The engine computes the number. The assistant explains it, and answers questions about your book grounded strictly in your own data.
Every recommendation comes with a plain-English rationale — why this date is priced where it is, in the language you would use explaining it to an owner. You can also ask a free-form question about any single date, or open the assistant and ask about the whole book.
The important part is what it does when it does not know. It answers only from tool results over your own data — your rates, your pace, your comp set, your events. When a question needs something it was not given, it says what is missing instead of producing a confident number. An RMS that invents a plausible occupancy figure is worse than one that says "I do not have that".
This is the layer where "AI" is an honest word for us. The pricing itself is deterministic and auditable; the assistant is the part that makes four hundred priced dates explainable to a human being in under a minute.
Who it's for
The GM who has to justify a rate to an owner or a board, and anyone who would rather ask a question than learn where a number lives in a reporting menu.
What it needs
A PMS connection, since the assistant answers from your operational data. It runs on your live book, not on a sample.
Meet Rosie
The assistant has a name and a face. Rosie is drawn from the compass rose in our own mark — the arc is her head, the needle her quiff — and she is the one who explains a rate, answers a question about a date, and writes the line you read first each morning.
She is deliberately not the all-knowing assistant every product ships. Her expression is read from the real state of your data, never chosen to look reassuring: she is working when an answer is being worked out, plain-spoken when there is something to decide, and resting whenever the honest answer is “I do not have that”. A confident face above a sentence that admits a gap would be the one thing an assistant to a revenue manager must never do.
- Working it out
- Something to decide
- No data for that yet
What you see tomorrow morning
- A one-line explanation on every date you open
- A question box on each date for anything the summary did not cover
- A dock you can open from any screen to ask about the whole book
- An explicit "I do not have that data" whenever the answer would otherwise be guesswork
What it doesn't do
The assistant reads. It does not change your prices, push to your PMS, or take any action on your behalf — every write in Compass is an explicit human decision or a guardrailed autopilot run.
