Pilot programme
We're taking 2–3 pilot hotels. The success criteria are agreed before we start.
Compass RMS already prices a real hotel in production — our own. The pilot programme exists to prove the same thing on properties we don't own: a small number of UK boutique hotels, free or discounted Pro for 90 days, measured against criteria we write down together on day one. If the numbers don't convince you, you walk away having risked nothing — shadow mode never touches your live rates.
Who it's for
- Independent or small-group UK boutique hotels, roughly 30–100 rooms.
- Running Mews— that's who we can onboard self-service today. Other PMSes are white-glove; ask us.
- No full-time revenue manager — the person setting rates has three other jobs, and real revenue complexity: seasonal compression, events, group business.
What a pilot includes
The full Pro tier — daily recommendations with the "why" spelled out for every date, guardrailed autopilot when you're ready for it, group quotes, rules and bulk editing, competitor rate intelligence — free or discounted for the 90-day pilot period, with onboarding done together. Flat fee afterwards if you stay; no commission, ever.
How it runs
Connect
Self-service onboarding for Mews properties: connect your PMS, confirm room types and competitors, set your price floor and ceiling. About an hour, with us on the call.
Shadow
Compass prices every date in parallel with your current process. You see the recommendation, the plain-English reasons behind it, and the gap to your own decision — your guests see nothing.
Review — then decide
At the 90-day review we walk through the agreed criteria together. If the numbers convince you, you switch on push — one-click accepts or autopilot inside your guardrails, the same cutover path we ran on our own hotel.
The success criteria — agreed upfront, measured on your data
Parity with your current pricing
Compass runs in shadow first — generating a recommendation for every date in parallel with whoever prices your hotel today, without touching a live rate. We measure how close it lands, date by date, on your own book. That is the same gate we used on our own hotel: a full-year shadow run landed within €2 of expert manual pricing on 93% of days before we let it push a single rate.
Hours saved
We baseline how long rate management takes you today, and measure it again once recommendations (or guardrailed autopilot) are doing the legwork. On our own property, weekly manual pricing effort went from roughly ten hours to about one.
Your ADR trend
Tracked on your own PMS data against the same period last year, and read honestly — demand shifts, capacity changes and renovations are called out, not hidden inside a percentage. We will not promise a revenue uplift number; nobody honestly can.
What we won't claim
No "+X% revenue" promise — a defensible uplift number would need a counterfactual year that doesn't exist. What we prove instead: parity with expert pricing decisions, the live demand feeds a manual process can't watch, and your own ADR trend read honestly. The full story of how we hold ourselves to that is in the Plaza case study.
